Bit of a Dolly brag

So yesterday I got dolly mail which I have been obsessively checking tracking on since it shipped last week. (luckily it was from only a state away so the package arrived quickly)

Inside the package was my MIO Isul! I've been interested in Pullips since I got my first Blythe doll but never seen one that really jumped out at me (aside from maybe Tuxedo Mask who is sadly out of my price range atm).
While browsing the web I discovered the MIO series and decided I wanted an Isul since I currently have a only girls and I wanted to add a brother to the mix.

He was actually a lot easier to put together than I was afraid he'd be, though he's only got the clear eyes atm until I can get some printouts done. And he's bald until his first wig arrives from Hong Kong, (he'll probably have many) and he has very little clothing, just some pjs and hat I sewed up rather quickly yesterday and today, but I love him anyway, now if he'd just get around to telling me what his name is.

Had to do a quick google search and you're right, they are quite similar, and I think I love that doll lol.

Well since his wig just barely shipped so who knows how long it will take to actually arrive and I'm an impatient person by nature, I broke down and made a wig to hold him until it arrived, still need to get his eyes done, just a matter of being able to work out a ride.
The wig is made of combed yarn (the colors I happened to have on hand) and a little longer than I'd originally planned, but I kinda like it, and he's looking a bit more alive. Next month he gets to take a trip to visit "Auntie" Vertefae for a face up. I am so excited!

Well my Isul who has taken the name of Hyde's wig arrived in the mail and I was able to get some temporary eyes for him. Got some eyelashes as well, so other than a wardrobe and his face up which I'm counting down the days until I can send him off (then I'll be counting the days till he's back home) and he'll be done.
Played around with yarn and had made another wig while waiting for his 'real' one to arrive, and yesterday Hannah and I went out and got some dolly pics while the weather was nice.

He's really come to life these past couple of weeks.
