Packing customs to move
« on: May 01, 2015, 07:56:32 AM »
I have a mix of sculpted and non, some with snazzy hair styles and quite a few with full repaints. A couple that I would say have more-fragile-than-average bits.

AFAIK only a couple are remotely sticky, I may have time to deal with that with a spray sealant if I do it sooner rather than later.

I don't know whether I'll be able to unpack the customs the day I move - it might take a couple of days as I don't want them getting knocked whilst we're moving other stuff around.

Reckon I could get away with wrapping them in clingfilm, then tissue/bubblewrap etc wouldn't cause issues in that period of time?

When I was moving I packed my customs in see-through plastic bags, then into bubble wrapping and put them into a box that I filled with packaging peanuts. I might have been overdoing it, but at least none were broken when I finally managed to unwrap them and put them in the showcase.

I packed mine the same way I packed our vintage dolls; they were carefully wrapped in tissuepaper, lined with bubblewrap, and put inside a box lined with more bubblewrap.
