Oh! Um, that's interesting. And I think the eye design looks like her brains are oozing out of her eyes.

I do think the design on her legs is pretty, though. It just doesn't match her actual cutie mark at all.

Getting her anyway, though, I'm sure.

I wish they'd release regular versions of these before making them look ridiculous...

I agree 100%.  I don't like these.  Plus Daring Do without her hat and outfit isn't Daring Do to me.  I know it's her adventures and what she does that makes her Daring Do but her signature outfit is also part of it.

Hopefully she will have at least her hat when she releases.

I'm pretty sure this is a store exclusive right?  all these flower-tattooed ones?  so I suspect the store has a considerable say in what they turn out like.

(or maybe they arent exclusives?)

She's presumed to be a Toys R Us exclusive, yes. Their stuff last year had a lot of black to it too.

Dang, I wish they'd stop ruining the toys with all these weird designs. I'd really like a Daring Do Fashion Style.... I might bend and get her anyway, and I'd probably be too chicken to try removing all the designs, so she'd be stuck with them.

My thoughts exactly :/ but wasn't the missing ponies from the past due to some people on the port being on strike?

I don't know.  I kinda thought they might be using that as an excuse since some stuff got in and others didn't, or the fact that the Rainbow Power wave with Cheerilee only seemed to show up in Texas and nowhere else (probably some other places, but the toys were extremely scarce and only my friends in Texas were able to find them and help me get them).

Also, I was thinking if the port strike really was the reason we didn't get those toys, wouldn't we have gotten them eventually?  The last few waves of Funko figures were held up due to the port strike, but we still got them.

Not necessarily. I mean it's different with the Funkos because they are supposed to be at Hot Topic first. But Hasbro sells their ponies worldwide and it was probably easier to reroute them to the international markets. Either that or the stores just had enough past season ponies in their warehouses to not need to order new ones.

Hasbro has a history of making ponies with defining visual features and then completely ignoring them when it comes to the toyline :/ Cough, AJ's hat, cough.
Idly searching for: loose, good condition G4 Blossomforth, Starbeam Twinkle, Plumsweet. TTM Celestia doll's wings Within UK or EU only, please.
Will also take in Pretty Pony Club (UK magazine) fakies.

I have a worry that I might someday regret that I gave up collecting fashion styles. So far I'm still ok, even with Coco and now Daring. The extra designs really help me not regret even though they are new characters. I still hope they will get regular size, non-decorated releases eventually. It's good to know why Daring was included too in that display background image from before.

yeah i wish i hadn't started like you, now im having trouble stopping. i just don't have the room for them, if i get those 2 new ones i will have to get rid 2 to fit them in. i just can't say no to new characters sadly im finding those crazy flower designs very sickening and tacky looking. for the first time il be buying acetone ;)

Ooh, sounds like a few years down the road the ugly version of Daring Do will be super rare, since everyone will have acetoned their copies. :D

Then she'll be the new Mimic.

Can't decide if AJ's hat looks silly on her or not, the flower print is actually cute on the hat though (not so much on the pony). I do appreciate the return of fabric clothes.
