can katsilk hair be dyed?

Just as my subject says.  Can Katsilk hair be dyed with powdered rit dye in a paste?  I was wondering if it was possibly since it's so very slick. 
I want to do gradient dyed hair and do the tips (and NOT use sharpies which I once did and got black marker all over the place.)

If it's not possible then it looks like there's a bit of an order for some nylon hair!
