thanks guys! I have an update: it looks like Raclette + Paupiette will not be available until the end of the year at the earliest, and who knows when at the latest since the artist is moving on to other molds. At first this was quite frustrating because it turns out I didn't miss the preorder at all, it's technically still going until the 8th, they just all sold out! What a narrow miss, right?! It would have been so much easier to hear that they haven't been available for a year, or something.

But it actually turned out to be good news, because now I have relief in between choosing her and my other favorite doll who is currently available! If I budget right and stick to collecting just one type of mainstream toy for the most part like I'm planning, I should be able to get a doll every year (unless a different toy line takes priority!) So I'm going ahead and looking forward to hopefully Raclette being my 2017 doll, and getting the other doll I've been admiring for this year!  :) :)

I'm not sure if she counts as a BJD (she's an articulated 18" doll), but Jennet from Kidz n' Cats!

So, I am horrid at waiting it would seem.
DDE had a doll I loved in the past in stock, and well... I couldn't resist
So now I have my odd antler bird gal who I super love!
Just took a quick pick of her in literally the only thing I own that fits her.

Because they're awesome! XD

She is cool-looking, Firecracker!  I love how expressive her eyes are.

she's awesome! It's so unique to see an anthro character doll like this with so little human appearance to her face. I'd look forward to seeing other clothes on her if you post more! Are you planning to make yourself because of the unusual shape?

Oh, and what's her name so I can find more images to admire? : )

Thanks you two  :)
She is a Doll Chateau Carol!  She was a christmas event doll that I missed out on, but bjd vendors are starting to have extras arrive so I decided to go for it.
I can definitely see myself taking more photos, I love this gal so much <3  As for clothing, yeah, I probably will also take a stab at sewing for her too.  We'll see how that ends up though, I haven't sewn anything for a long time  :P

Yeah, I would imagine you'd have to.  She has such a unique body.

Definitely.  The only doll clothing I have sitting around fits monster high... And a monster high doll she is not.
I admit I did splurge on her today, found a fun little thing at michael's.

So, that makes clothing and cute little cushions and other homely things for her home I have to sew for her.  I regret nothing.

I finally finished Jolene's face-up, wig, and her second complete outfit.  I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out.

How lovely! Those may be the most realistic freckles I've ever seen on a faceup. It's amazing what people can do!

I wanted to share this indie BJD because she's so adorable. She's made by Kerri-Anne Sawyer or "Through the Magic Door" and her name is Mooki the fae mouse! https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/t31.0-8/12440332_925940780825666_6151939986813683652_o.jpg

My dream wishlist now includes the Zuzu Delf Bull and Pig (any). I can't use the marketplace on Den of Angels for close to 2 months, does anyone have any idea how easy/hard these are to come across?  :)
