I guess for some people it lowers the value and for others it increases it. I love rehaired ponies and would rather buy one that's been nicely rehaired rather than one that has a horrible haircut. Now if it's a super rare Nirvana, that might be another story.

I guess ultimately it's a personal choice.  An ethical seller will always let the buyer know what work has been done.
