I worry more that the government will use this info to try and ban second hand shops from selling old toys.
There was a kerfuffle a number of years ago about this on Etsy. I think there are some jurisdictions in the U.S. where there are laws prohibiting the sale of old toys as "toys" -- however, I think a lot of people get around this by writing a disclaimer that the item they are selling is for collectors and not for use as a toy by children.
Of course, that wouldn't work in a thrift shop.
