because there's been a lonely Scootaloo in a local supermarket for ages and I'm considering getting her in hopes of maybe selling or trading her.

Is it worth it?

I agree - the mermaid versions do tend to be a little more popular than other release. But retail is normally what they sit at $5-6. They can be a hard sell however so you may get a better option by offering them as a set perhaps?
