Charity Quilt!

Last year I organized a bunch of artists to make a quilt to be donated to the charity auction at the Everfree Northwest convention. The quilt sold for $20,000!

We're doing it again this year, but doing something slightly different with the squares being based on season 1 episodes and having a larger square in the center. I finally finished the center square and wanted to show it off:

It's going to have more signatures on it by the time it's up for auction. I just mailed it out to someone going to Babscon to get signatures from Tara, Cathy, Andrea, and Claire. Tabitha will be at EFNW this year so hopefully I can get her signature there! We'll just be missing Ashleigh as far as mane six signatures go. I'm really excited and I hope we can make a large amount of money for Seattle children's hospital again.

I'll update this post with a finished picture when the whole thing is together

Thanks! I'm hoping this one will look even more awesome since I have more experience this year! I'm not holding my breath for another 20k bid, but hopefully we'll still raise quite a lot of money with it

20,000?! Wow. That is one epic pony quilt, though! I love community projects like this. Even better when there's the charity aspect involved.

Bronies definitely have some deep pockets when it comes to charity auctions! I was shocked too. I thought it would sell for a lot since it was for charity and all, but I was expecting more like $5,000. I never dreamed we'd make $20,000 with it!
