Oh my jeeze....i wake up and this thread has once again blown up! xD

But dear partner (aka all of you, since I can't ask directly hehe) my question for you is :
If you have cheap things on your wish list, is it okay to find something extremely similar? Or have you listed things because their authenticity/country of origin/language is important no matter how cheap they are?

Thanks loves :)

Im ok with that! I definetly want to make sure my partner (one who is shopping for me) doesnt go broke LOL whatever works for them! Im seriously happy with pretty much any pokemon items! I really dont care for the language on tags/packaging/etc just as ling as its the pokemon!!! :D

I already have several items now and they're nicely settled in a box with pretty tissue paper and stuff, waiting for me to get the rest of the things I'm going to get/make. :D

It has its limits, that's for sure, but I'm sure most if not all are happy with what they get, even if they have spent less on the box they send than the value of the one they receive is. I for one will be! :D Maybe keep it in mind in possible future Pokemon swaps and offer a couple of different groups based on how much is the spending limit?

$20 can get you a bunch of stuff if you really look! If you have a partner that doesnt like loose items or bootleg plushies it can be hard though. Pokemon is always a little expensive, but there are definitly good deals around if you look! :D ebay, thrift stores, and especially pkmncollector livejournal are my BFF's right now. So far I have spent maybe $8 on two factory sealed official smaller items that my partner really likes. Im going to try to find fun stuff like plushies, keychains, and such at a good price before my next paycheck. $15 a paycheck which is every two weeks is very steady for me! :)

And for my partner who is shopping for me.....i have already mentioned this a few times bit I will be so happy with anything you get me!!! :D If you can only get me one item, just make me some art to fill up that box!!! I dont want my secret shopper to feel pressured to spend a lot on me. Not at all! Just be calm and happy, and know that i will love your box! Pokemon has helped me over the years with my battle with depression since my father died so you can bet- even if i recieve one stuffie or toy- it will light a smile in my heart and it will remind me of our friendship. Pokemon reminds me of very good times and imnot picky!!!! =]

Nope not really   convert it in to English pounds haha it is obviously the same value but the number decreases haha. Partner not going to lie i am going to be going over budget

But I did manage to grab a bargain for my partners main item though I appear to have fallen in love with its cuteness.

To unlucky person who got to buy for me in will up date all questions tonight when I Am on my lap top and I have access to a proper key board iPad just not happenning

But I will answer the bootleg question now. Buy away authenticity is not important to me for items coming to my self (when I am buying for others different story) as long as it has no major flaws or appendages missing of course

Art - love it! I often stick it on my wall, so postcard etc is great!

cozy - my 3ds has a hello kitty case already. ;)

cheaper items - totally go for it! I'm really happy with anything pokemon. Ive listed a lot of modern items but they are just ideas. I love eevee and vulpix and chu, and a lot of other early pokemon, don't forget! Retro is awesome.

Pon wishlist - dont have ones, sorry!

For official art ones, try Ebay, for fan drawn ones...maybe DeviantArt or SheezyArt? Tumblr might be viable but it'd be hard to find the artists there that are actively selling their prints :<

Updated my first post and I have a question.

Do you wear earrings?

Yes, but I can only wear surgical steel, silver, etc. :(
Idly searching for: loose, good condition G4 Blossomforth, Starbeam Twinkle, Plumsweet. TTM Celestia doll's wings Within UK or EU only, please.
Will also take in Pretty Pony Club (UK magazine) fakies.

I went ahead and bought Pokemon wrapping paper!  I think my partner is gonna love it. :P I found some gen 2 wrapping paper on eBay as well... *hint hint* ;)

Also yes to earrings and I have Y and AS versions. If preference matters at all, then it's Y for me (I never even finished AS because I got bored).

I'll be updating my post on the first page partner, so keep an eye on that!

I have another question!

Do you like keychains, phone straps/charms, etc.?
I don't usually use keychains, but I love phone straps/charms.

Post Merge: March 24, 2015, 06:39:41 AM

Okay, I was avoiding eBay (outside of the wrapping paper) but I just saw something that my partner will absolutely FREAK OUT over!  I just know they will!  Fingers crossed that I win the auction! :frolic:
