I don't see a whole lot of love for Rollerskate ponies!

Oh man every time I discover ponies with pony wear it's always the best thing ever.

Did... do... they actually roll? :0

Better than that, they have that pull-back-wind-up feature that makes them "skate" on their own for short distances. I think only the front two wheels on two of the legs actually work though, the others are just for show. And the skates are molded on, so you can't take them off if they're broken, which they often are.   I would love Jazzie even with broken skates though!

My sister and I used to race HipHop and Jazzie across the kitchen floor, much to our parents' annoyance xD.

The mechanism is a bit delicate, though. I've found a lot of second hand ones that don't work any more, sadly. The mechanism is in the front boot, but the back boot also has rolling wheels. THe rest are for show, I think, but broken wheel ones can still roller. It depends on which wheel is broken ;) but it's more the mechanism breaking that stops them in my opinion.

They don't roll well on carpet either. >.>.

They are a bit of an odd set, but I tend to think of them as being a sign of the times they were released into ;) By the middle nineties, CD walkmans were becoming commonplace. Why not a pony with one? :)

Are you serious? You lucky Europeans! That sounds so awesome. I would love to have a Hip Hop or a Jazzie

I wanted to add the G1 Dance and Prance ponies. I think they are cool I have a full set of them. They dance across for a short while when the knob is turned. I think they look very pretty if I had all of their accessories even if I only have 1 complete set of accessories.  The one I like the most is Player or Tap dancer. Their backcards were cute too. :)

With the DnP ponies, even now, 15 years on, I am STILL upset that Songster and Player were not pegasus ponies, even though advertising suggested they were going to be ><

Hip Hop in particular is a very lovely shade of emerald green.  I wish Tootsie and TAF Buttons had been more that shade and less pea soup.

Speaking of TAFs, I hardly ever hear anything about TAF Merriweather.

Again another pony that doesnt get enough attention just because of the pose. Shes so cute I love rainbows. Everyone goes for Munchy or Night Glider and they are great but the least talked about is her and Bonnie Bonnets.

Aww!  I want him to have a little knight outfit, with a helmet and sword and shield!  And of course a friendly dragon to fight

 :lovey:

I love the rollerskate ponies too.  I had Jazzy and Hip Hop as a kid.  They look so energetic and friendly it's hard not to love them!

I think the teeny tiny twins are a bit forgotten!  They have the same funny flatter faces as the mermaid ponies so are pretty unusual.

My first thought was none of the MGRs except Diamond Dreams.

Flower Bouquet and Sparkler are a dreammm!

Ugh, I absolutely LOVE all the MGR ponies.  They are just so pretty, adore their design like crazy.  All of them.

I don't hear much about the Rockin' Beats ponies, Baby Sugarcake, Baby Beachball, Bright Eyes, Cranberry Muffins, Skylark, the UK Roller Skate ponies, Scrumptious, the Ballerina ponies, UK Tutti Frutti.

The Rockin' Beats are some of my favorites.  Halfnote, especially, is so special to me.  Being a mid/late 80s baby, the later years are more familiar to me, and vivid in my mind.

Just love their bright, almost blinding colors, and TAF reminiscent symbol placement.  They are just... Just fun ponies.

I definitely would like to hear about Flutters more, not that I've been around long, so maybe they've been discussed more than I'm aware.

I recently rescued three from my boyfriend's childhood home, and I've fallen in love!  Their dainty build and cute symbols have just won me over.  Of course none of mine have wings, but I've had fun making new ones for them.  Have two more on the way, and if I'm lucky, five more soon.  Though I'm having a dickens of a time finding Hollywood and Pink Dreams.  Hopefully, though.

Okay, that got a little wordy, but they are just so darn charming!

G3 Puzzlemint. She's so lovely but I've only ever seen one ID thread on her.

For G1s, it's, from my experience, the second set of flutters, the Soda Sippin ponies, the Colorswirl ponies, the Rainbow pony Tickle, Skyflier, Scrumptious, Twist, Sweet Pop, and Patch.
For G2's it's Princess Crystal.
For G3's it's Razzaroo, Hidden Treasure, and Sunrise Song.
For G3.5...yeah...I guess that it's hard to tell, but G3.5 is a forget-it generation. That one generation that many people tend to not talk about.
For G4's it's Cherry Berry, Flitterheart, and Sugar Grape.
