Beaded Rarity

So, this is the first G4 custom I have ever made! I was commissioned by a huge Rarity fan, who wanted to add to his army.
As he provided me with a Rarity to work with, I didn't have to rip her head off and change hair colours or anything! And I am glad, because I managed to slash my thumb with a scalpel while attempting to remove the head from another G4 a few days ago......

Anyhoo! Here she is....

They almost doubled her weight  :lol: I didn't think to weigh her before I started, but I used another G4 I had sitting on the counter to get an approximate starting weight.

For some reason I love the fact that she's a beaded crystal Rarity :D These must take huge amount of time, but definitely worth it.

Hehe, thank you all.

She was actually one of my easier ponies, mainly because she didn't need anything doing to her hair. I literally got her in the post, opened her and stuck beads on  :lol: Normally I have to rehair baits, and often paint on the design before I stick on the beads, which is what takes the time.

I can't really say how long it takes, mostly because as I have an almost 3yo child running round the house, I have to work around her, of course! I mostly do the beading after she has gone to bed, or on days where she's out with her grandparents.

The overall time taken was eleven days, but if I could do nothing but work on beads all day (if only  :P ) I think I'd be done in two or three days, maybe.
