I don't think the codes look that bad. They remind me of the hoof hearts of G3.

Yeah, they actually don't look out of place and I would have never guessed they are anything other than a design embellishment. I really know very little about QR codes and I doubt I'll play whatever game accompanies these, so I hope they don't give these an arbitrarily higher price tag.

Ugh, that castle... *salivating a little* It's like the specifically designed it knowing it'd be more of a display piece than a playset. And it comes with the standing bowtie Spike I've been hankering? Man, I hope this is still available years later when I can finally afford my own place and more room. I won't let myself buy playsets until then.

The Rarity that was recently released in the same exact style was about $20, so not too bad!  She was totally worth it too, given the size.  I'm sure Cadance will be very similar.

...And with the code right on the front, what is to stop people from getting the code without purchasing the pony?  Won't that defeat the purpose of getting people to buy more ponies?

You have to rescan the codes every week or so.  That's what their new Transformers app does. 

Just a note, from what I read you can scan just a picture that contains the code. so yeah, a person wouldn't have to purchase the pony for the code benefit, although I'm sure 99% of this forum is more interested in the pony and not the code.

When I heard the name on this thread part of me was really really hoping for Glow in the Dark ponies... We don't need any more light up ponies Hasbro!

I am so excited for this castle! I hope it really has the colored turrets because TS castle didn't.   Cadence looks beautiful but I'm getting a bit tired of seeing her in so many re releases too:/

My reservation about the codes isn't the way they look, but that from what I've heard about the game it puts the pressure on to spend real money if you want to unlock some basic main characters--which is really questionable for a game based on a show for kids, IMO. :/

Honestly never would think of wanting a "giant plastic castle" but I see a serious lack of pink and a beautifull white-not-pink-fur Celestia and Spike there aswell May be the first item of it's kind I purchase. Hope the retail price isn't too nuts >w< It'd actually be a nice way to display my Alicorns and Twilight mini collection <3

my only problem is that the quialty isnt hat  good..  os yes i want that castle but i'm sure htere going to stick a 100.00 price tag on it. adn the  quality isnt good at all anymore to warrent that amount of money spent.
