Soooo much want for that Cadance, but on principle alone I'm acetoning that QR code off. If they're bent on pushing some new dumb freemium game and want to stick a code on the package, fine. Just don't go turning my ponies into Skylanders! It makes me want to thwack Hasbro across the nose with a rolled up newspaper.

I think it will mean more characters actually however everyone is going to complain about the code symbol on the ponies just watch. Also they are going to have to release all the mane characters again with their codes tho as well..

You can't please everyone, I guess.    I, for one, am excited about the prospect of new characters, regardless of the QR codes.

I don't mind the code per se.  I just wish it could be put on the non-display side.  I know I could just remove it but I don't like altering ponies unless their custom bait.

I didn't mean that I thought it would be hard to remove.  I meant that the collector in me doesnt like permanently altering a pony from how it was originally released.

And with the code right on the front, what is to stop people from getting the code without purchasing the pony?  Won't that defeat the purpose of getting people to buy more ponies?

You have to rescan the codes every week or so.  That's what their new Transformers app does.
