Doll shoes?
« on: January 25, 2015, 12:30:01 AM »
I got a Megan and Molly dolls in an eBay lot,  and bought a Liv Spin Master doll (well, because I was mistaken about the clothing size but found out I really like it) but all three of them have no shoes! Clothing is hard enough to find, at least for the Megan doll,  but shoes seem few and far in between for anything not having tiny high-heeled Barbie feet.

So, my questions being, is there anyone who knows shoes that fit the Megan dolls? Will the Kelly shoes fit  both MLP dolls?  And the Liv doll stuff,  being out of manufacture, can go for more than I am willing to spend at the moment so do any other shoes fit them? If I get Monster High shoes (because I bought one of them,  too  ) will they fit the Liv doll?

I'm going crazy from eBay surfing! Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately my Molly never survived all my moves as a kid and I never had a Megan doll though I wanted her, so I can't help any with those, I can tell you that MH shoes won't fit Liv very well at all and Bratzilla shoes almost fit but not quite.
If you are at all crafty MyFroggyStuff on youtube has a few shoe tutorials and I was able to make my sister's shoeless Bratzilla some adorable heels using this tutorial:

Sorry I couldn't be more help, maybe someone else will be able to help more.

I've fast become addicted to pretty much all her tutorials, she feeds my crafting/dolly obsession very well.

I'm a bit crafty, I'll have to give that vid a watch.

Thanks!

Apparently I cannot make shoes  but thanks for tuning me in to that blogger, there's a lot of interesting crafts she does that I want to try. Megan and Molly just have such tiny feet I'm having trouble!  :argh:

Didn't think about the fact that their feet are so tiny, it's been years since I've even seen either of the girls in person. Sorry the tutorial didn't work out for you but hopefully you'll find some of her other vids useful.

I don't really collect much in the way of dolls, mostly MH and vintage CPK's, so I don't really need it but shoes in general have me excited about these new 3D printers. Wouldn't it be awesome to just scan the dolls feet (or even human!) and design the shoe to fit exactly?!

I've seen dolls made with 3D printers, so I'm sure that shoes would be possible.
