The only weird thing for me is that I sold a few Fashion Star Fillies to someone whom appears to live at an air force base. The address was strange.
Lol....I used to live on an AFB with my hubby for a little bit. I didn't think the address was weird. Was it a base exchange outside of the 50 states?

Wouldn't a military addy be a APO/FPO address?

I never had any exciting addresses but I did get alot of people trying to tell me they couldnt ship to me because they only ship domestically. Uh, Alaska is a state, idiots. And Amazon liked to tell me the zip code for the grand canyon national park is invalid.

I'm pretty sure an APO/FPO only exists outside the 50 states. They exist at like Guam and other US territories and other places where US troops are sent. You can have a military address that isn't an APO/FPO. Ours was normal. Just said Minot AFB in the address.

Same for us when we lived on Andrews, ages ago.

I sold one of my ponies to someone in Brazil. It was a really common one and they ended up paying more for the shipping than the pony

Yep!

My workplace works with federal contractors and the vast majority of the bases all have a standard US address, even the ones on Guam and other US controlled territories.

I think APO/FPO is really only used for bases in other countries. For instance, we have a large client that operates on the Reagan testing site out on the Kwajalein Atoll and while the base itself is US owned, Kwajalein is part of the Marshall Islands so all mail sent to the base uses an APO address.
