Well, this is the worst :(

Hello everyone,

so long story short, I think my family accidentally donated my entire collection of mlp.. ranging from g1s, g3s and a few g4s. I didn't have that many, probably around 50. But i'm still so sad about it.

what happened was that about a year ago, I decided to put most of my ponies in storage and to only keep my favorites on display, because my room is small and can get cluttered very easily. So I had put everything in a bin and asked my dad to take it down to our storage room (we live in an apartment building) and I kinda forgot about it... until now when ponies started invading my brain again, and I decided to go down and grab them so I could sort through them and decide on what to trade around or sell.

But... they are nowhere to be found. Now, we have a big storage space because my parents work for the building, and we have a TON of stuff we don't even need stored in there. So there might be a tiny possibility that the bin somehow made its way to a place where we just didn't see it. It's dark in there, the lights don't work so we need flashlights, kinda hard to move around...there might be hope.

I'm just so sad.. my parents frequently donate their old things to the goodwill near our house (old clothing and dishes and stuff mostly) but maybe my dad had mistaken me and thought it was for goodwill? We looked for a while yesterday, and I was feeling really down.. He honestly doesn't remember what he did with it. So last night I just sat on the computer and looked at old pics of my beautiful collection I had... and what it is now (just my so softs and a few other faves.)

Everyone, learn from me and keep your collections close to your heart, even if you aren't always so interested in them. Store them in your own closet or something... please.

If anything, I hope some kids are really happy and (hopefully) not drawing on all of them

Oh no! **hugs!** Maybe they'll still turn up. Keep looking and don't give up until every inch of that storage space is covered!

Oh, I'm so sorry! *big hugs* I really hope they show up. I once thought I donated my entire collection of old Gameboy games to goodwill when I was moving, but I found them stored away else where. I hope that your ponies are just in the back of the storage unit

Oh my goodness, MandarinCupcake, if that happened to me I could just cry. Thank goodness you found them I really hope i do find them...wahhh

Maybe a few ponies (or even all of them) will show up in the least expected place?  Maybe they were just temporarily moved?

In any case, I'm sorry this has happened to you!  I don't know what I'd do if all of my ponies went missing, though having them donated to children would be one of the better outcomes.

  this is a so sad news!! I know exactly what you fell as I have experiences something similar. When we move to live with my mother and sister to our father in law's house. All our toys were put in the garage. After times we gave a look to see our toys but sadely my father in law had thorwn everything to garbage!!! no more barbies no more plays etc etc   

I really hope you'll find them soon in a side of your house.

Oh no hope your ponies turn up somewhere!!  Know exactly how this feels, my mum donated every last one of my polly pockets afew years back. Is there a way to recover your ponies from goodwill? (if they've been donated)

Oh no!  That's heart-breaking.  My dad got rid of my horse/unicorn related book collection years ago that I had stored while I was moving.  He thought I didn't want them.  So I can empathize with you.  I hope your missing bin turns up in the big room and isn't actually gone.

Oh gosh! I am so sorry I had this happen with my childhood collection but would be devastated if something like that happened as an adult. I hope they turn up but if not its lovely you are looking for a positive that they are probably out there being enjoyed by someone *hug*

Oh no! I'm sorry that  a lot of you have similar stories.. but a bit relieved in a way to hear it. We never ended up going this weekend because it was sooo hectic, but next weekend I have to take the tree down so we will be going to storage to put all the ornaments away

I agree that is terrible. I still hope you find them. I will have my fingers crossed. I think that it is sad the things that people love the most get lost.
