That is absolutely awful! Try talking to goodwill anyways, just to see. You never know how slow that backroom is..
I really hope they're just under a hard to seembox or something in your storage room.

Oh NO! That is sooooo unfortunate!!! I know just how you fedl though. My mother did that with my HK collection when I moved to Texas. She has a house with an attic and basement but she didnt like 'my junk taking up space'

I wish you the best of luck and hope they are still around! Also, I suppose it's good that your folks donate their unwanted items if they aren't being used but how could they just get rid of your ponies without knowing it it, especially if they know it's precious to you? >:  Just blindly put boxes in the car and take them? This is why I feel it's important to always go through boxes and such before just putting them in the trunk and hauling it off to a donation center. Even if you are positive about whats in it, it can't hurt to double check. My own paranoia has saved a few items that found their way into the donation tote that shouldn't have been in there.

 That seems a bit rude on your mom's part. DX I can totally understand her being frustrated with storing her child's stuff( my parents wouldn't want me leaving behind a lot of junk when I move out) but to just get rid of it, even without telling you? She could have at least let you know she was starting to feel that way and given you the heads up and an opportunity to retrieve or ship it to you. >:

Aww- I feel for you. A very similar thing happened to me many years ago- honestly I think it is what spurned the most maniacal collecting spree of my entire life (that and the invent of ebay)...

I definitely second your advise- keep your own collectibles and do NOT leave them with your parents or with anyone, unless you truly do not care if "by accident" they sell or donate everything, thinking you wouldn't mind...

oh no !!! i hope you do find them in the back of the store room ! i moved down to hartfordshire and had to leave some of my things up in wales and when my ex tenents couldent pay the rent and i had to evict them they broke in to my locked shed and stole all my stuff plus the 4poster bed , fortunatly i insisted on my ponies staying with me and they were safe ! but my sindy horses and brayers went   xaflame

This is what happened to my Dream Castle and Petitie Pony Palace...they were in a small storage shed where we lived and we had to move quickly and my husband didn't get anything out of that shed. So now I keep an eye out for another Dream Castle. I pray that your ponies are just overlooked, or at least be well loved

well... i just looked today..for the ponies.. and they arent anywhere to be found.
i was hoping id post back here with a pic and happily saying i have them.
but everything is lost. my flutter ponies, my apple delight family, my g3s, some of which i had from childhood, my few mib g3.5 stuff... a bunch of other ponies...

i cant stop crying. i feel so silly but its going to be impossible for me to get everything that i had back. i dont have the money anyway. i am just so angry.... like how could you POSSIBLY think that a storage bin WITH MY NAME ON IT plus a huge clear plastic bag that had other plushies and my tamagotchis and stuff in it WERE FOR DONATION??
im so so so so so upset and angry and i just want to cry.
