Your Favorite Care Bears and Cousins

Love A Lot is my fav care bear and has been since I was little.

I used to love just about all the Cousins, especially the less common ones, but Brave Heart was my favorite, followed by Swift Heart. As for the Bears, none stood out to me the way the Cousins did, except maybe Secret Bear. Love A Lot was special to me though because she was my first Care Bear plush.

I loved Grumpy as a kid. I always thought he just needed a hug to be happy again. I also like Bedtime bear. As for cousins, my heart goes to Brave Heart Lion. So cute and brave and wonderful.

I used to have a fake shrine in my closet (and boy was it weird re-finding it years later when I'd forgotten about it) with the carebears that represented the 'powers' I felt my life was under. I made it out of a sense of whimsy.

I will share with you now the four bear gods of the pastel ursine religion:

Wish Bear - I wish I wish I wish I wish is a good summary of my average day.
Bedtime Bear - I sleep twelve or more hours a night. It's probably how I'm going to die.
Good Luck Bear - Things usually work out for me. That helps me feel really stupid for freaking out at the start.
Grumpy Bear - I felt like there was too much joy in the shrine, OBVIOUSLY. Poor Grumpy, you make a bad underworld bear.

Oh my god, they're all blue. Do I just like blue characters? Yes.

The answer is yes.

I also have a Perfect Panda, because her symbol is a rose and I deserve things with roses on them.

OOOOH BRAG TIME!  Just found some vintage Care Bears!  Now I have Funshine and a Bedtime Bear (though he has a sideways nose) and a 2003 Wish Bear with hugging powers and a 2004 Champ Bear!

I never cared much for the cousins, but I like all of the Care Bears. (I'm talking about the original Care Bears.) My favorites are Grumpy Bear and Good Luck Bear.

Wasn't Polite Panda the one with the rose symbol, and Perfect was her brother with the star symbol? That was one of my favorite episodes of the old cartoon.

Who are some of your favorite care bears and cousins?

 Wish Bear-She's adorable and grants wishes! I was horrified to see how they screwed her over in the CGI show however. This is a classic character people! And Care Bears has excellent gender diversity, don't make her a him!

This, and Funshine Bear!  I hate that they made her a him!

Always loved Cheer Bear, pre-restyled Share Bear, Wish Bear. 
Cousins.. well I guess Noble heart, Lotsa heart, and Proud heart.

Neat shrine and I looove perfect and polite panda. I'd completely forgotten about them.

Ooh! I saw some old school style care bear toys at TrU last weekend. If they weren't 24.99 and they'd had some of my favorite characters I woulda snatched some up. Tender Heart, Grumpy, Funshine, Good Luck and Harmony were all there. I'm hoping they'll release an old school Swift Heart Rabbit and Bright Heart Racoon, I'd pay for that. Or for old school Wish and Bedtime

Gentle Heart Lamb because she's so sweet, Cheer Bear because she's so cheerful and happy, Lotsa Heart because he's so nice and has a big heart and I love the race care bears one where Beastly tries to cheat and Swift Heart wants to win the running race. : )

I wasn't sure before I posted, so I checked and at least wikipedia says that Perfect is the rose one. I do also have Polite, but he's technically my brother's, he just lives on my shelf.

Polite has the rose symbol, not Perfect.  The Wikipedia article states the following:

The twins have black and white patched fur. Perfect Panda has a gold star with a ribbon on his tummy, while Polite Panda has a pink rose with a ribbon on her tummy.
