Answers to Questions:
1. Felt: I'm fine with it, I think. As long as it doesn't look too 'arts and crafts of the 70's'
2. I prefer the Posey pose to the donkey pose, but I don't hate the donkey pose.

I need to have a movie-research-a-thon for my pony, but I think I have the perfect bait.

To my partner would you mind the G3 'donkey' pose or should I use another pony? The other I was thinking of was the G1 lickety split  to use for what I need. 

I would prefer the G1 lickety split pose (one of my favorite poses) over the G3 donkey pose (one of my least favorite poses). But if you think the donkey pose fits better with the custom you are making then I'm sure it will be fine.

I'm not a big fan of felt but of course if that suits for the idea I must say go for it

And for the Donkey/ Posey pose question:

I loooove both poses so that doesn't matter witch one. Donkey is one of my favorite G3 poses
and lickety split is one of my favorite G1 poses so what ever you feel the best

I've sketched out some ideas and have decided which of my partner's 5 things to go for.  Now I'm on the hunt for an appropriate bait.
