I just sent off my Mod Swap package, going somewhere international, but nearby.
I paid for shipping online, and opted for the 4-6 working day service, which is an express international courier.
I dropped it off in person on the 16th, and was assured it would get there in time for Christmas. The tracking number has been accepted and scanned on the 16th, and hasn't moved from there.
When I rang NZ post, they said they were having delays of up to 5 days moving it from the post office to Customs!
I'm a little annoyed, as they have actually frozen the amount in my account, and it wont clear until Custom's have it on a plane.
If I had known they were having such delays I wouldn't have paid for the more expensive option!
