Pokemon Collectors - Help ID this huge Squirtle?!

Soo I looked around the internet and apparently these are quite rare? Some threads on sites said there was some bootleg ones floating around but it has an offical Nintendo label on it.
Any Pokemon fans know anything about this guy?
Is he worth anything?

I'm pretty sure that he was a toy that could be won at games in American amusement parks years ago. The manufacturer might have been Namco?

I have a similar Charmander.  Is he stuffed with styrofoam bits like a beanbag?

I got my Char at a yard sale, so don't really know much about them, but I'd guess they were arcade prizes of some sort. Mine has a tag saying he's made by Play-by-Play, and he's dated 1998/99.

No idea as to value. but I'm curious too as I'm thinking of selling my Charmander.

That seems to be the Play-By-Play Squirtle. I found the Charmander version at a thrift store a couple months ago. It wasn't that cuddly to me, its all stiff so it can stand upright. I decided to gift it to a friend. I believe a set of the 3 original starters were produced. Ebay has prices all over the place, but I think a bunch sold between 10-25.

I remember those!!! Yes, they were amusement park/carnival prizes. No clue on current value though.

I had the Charmander version of this!!!! He was HUGE!! These were 'prizes' at various fairs and such. His body is filled with little styrafoam beads, right? And he makes ypur hair staticy?

I would pay around $50 or more, but im sure collectors would pay more on ebay. After all its an original 90's pokemon toy!

Yep, Play-by-Play. The giant ones were amusement-only, but they vary in price. I often see them sell on eBay for about £10-15, but I would imagine collectors would pay more. He's one of the very few Squirtle plush I still need myself, honestly
