I wonder if Brit "chips" are more like what we call "potato wedges" or "steak fries". Either way I need to try "chips and brown sauce" and now I need to try poutine.

Giggling about the fact that true chicken salt is vegetarian.  I may need someone to send me some as a joke gift for a militant vegggie friend of hubby. 

At fast food places if you order your fries without salt you get freshly made ones.  Not during rush hours though I bet...
