Does anyone create "crafts" for their ponies? Ie: Necklaces, Barettes etc.

Sorry I couldnt think of a better title,
I was just wondering if anyone makes things to put onto their ponies for when they display them?
Ie: I'm going to buy these: [live auction link removed ~ many thanks ~ hathorcat]
And I've just finished sorted some old fake pearl necklaces etc to put onto thread with the flowers etc to display on my cleaned up ponies.

Im honestly curious if anyone does the same kinda thing?

Not yet, but I'm hoping to get around to making some Sculpey bows/flowers/lollipops that are replicas of the MLP barrettes I already have.
Love your idea of making them pearl jewelry, that must look very classy.

That is a lovely idea! Craft away, just keep in mind fabrics or coloured items that could stain your ponies over time- 'cos that sucks :/

I have certainly seen a lot of creations over the years for ponies and we once even had a Fashion Swap hosted by Partypony and Tuney

I do! one of my trade customs has a pearl and crystal necklace. I made socks and a hat for another... I wanted to make a barrette but I have too much to do~

Yep! I've been known to salvage old kiddie bracelets to give to my ponies as necklaces... And I've got a packet of tiny fake pearls that I'd like to make more necklaces with!

I use old clothes and make hats, capes, etc. Just for fun.

I used to do things like that as a child, with bits of thread, ribbon and plastic beads. It's not something I've really considered doing since I got back into ponies, but seeing this thread has got me thinking that it'd be nice to try something to jazz up my herd.

Yup! I have lots of the free/cheap scrap fabric from Joanne's, and I practice sewing and hand stitching by making clothes for my ponies by hand. I made Twilight's coronation gown, Trixie's hat and cape, and Sunset Shimmer's hooded cloak from when she's stealing the crown in the first movie. I recently made a little nurse hat for Nurse Redheart, and hand stitched the symbol on, my first attempt at rudimentary embroidery.

I don't make crafty things for ponies often. Clothes for customs on occasion. The main adornment that the herd gets are smaller barrettes that I find in the bins at goodwill...
