Ideas for a brunch?
« on: November 19, 2014, 11:17:07 AM »
We're having a "everyone bring a dish" brunch, but I'm having a hard time deciding what to bring because I don't know what anyone else is bringing.  (It's a work event and most of our team took the day off--there must be a sporting event on, ha ha ha.)

Right now my ideas are:

Sausage and egg casserole?

Cinnamon rolls?

Quiche?

Man, I don't even know.

Lol!! Ugh! I hate get togethers like this!! If I was you I would go with something easy. Maybe some rotel/velveeta queso dip and some chips. Make it then throw it in a crock pot and plug it in when you get to work??? Or get some of those little sausage cocktail weenies and heat them up in some BBQ sauce?

That is what I would do but I am lazy!!

If I was feeling energetic I might make some bacon wrapped cream cheese jalapenos. They are super easy to make and really good. They do take probably about an hour though. I would also maybe ask a few coworkers what they are planning on bringing.

ORRRRRRR if I was feeling super lazy....a box of donuts from the grocery store!!!! LOL

All of those are great ideas! I always make Quiche- usually a vegetarian one and a meat one- and they always seem to be VERY popular. Of course who can say no to cinnamon rolls? Not me...

How about a fruit and bagel tray?

I have made one up several times. I picked a few different types of bagels, maybe one or two different cream cheese spreads and some assorted fruit. It always seems to be a hit and not something that anyone else thinks of.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys!  I did end up making two quiches, because I happened to have all the ingredients in the house.  (Even two refrigerated pie crusts I bought last week without knowing why, ha ha!)

It was a really fun breakfast / brunch.  I'm still full from it!
