Opinions on my title, please?

A few of you may remember my thread a while back that I was trying to gather courage to self-publish my book. Well, I am now in the middle of this process of making all the final decisions.
There seem to be very different opinions on my title from the people I have shared it with. So I am hoping to get more opinions that might help me make my final decision.

The genre is contemporary romance; it's a romantic comedy.
The super short summary is this: The male and female character are unlikely friends because he is a partier and casual hookup guy and she is the bookish "good girl." They flirt sometimes but both are sure they are not meant for a romantic relationship with each other. The chemistry between them starts to get the best of them, and they go back and forth between romantic moments and fighting. Then the male character does something very hurtful to her feelings, and it's questionable whether they can rebuild any relationship.

So I am currently between these two titles.
Title 1: They May or May Not
Title 2: Never You

The cover design is mostly whimsical. (Probably most like a Jennifer Crusie cover).

Please let me know your thoughts, because reviewers sure will when it is released!!

First of all, MAJOR kudos to you for mustering up the nerve to self publish!  I've been dragging my feet over the exact same thing for years, to the point that I've been intentionally preventing myself from finishing edits just so I can keep saying "It's still not ready yet...."  You are truly an inspiration

That said, I think that it would help me decide if I saw the intended cover art first.  I personally prefer "Never You", except without seeing the art/font of the writing, it sounds a little bit like a romantic drama, as opposed to a romantic comedy.  I feel as though "They May or May Not" is a bit of a mouthful for a book title.

That's awesome that you've decided to go ahead make a decision on publishing.  I hope everything works out for you!

I like the title "Never You".  After reading the summary, that title seemed to fit the best.

I agree, I like "Never You" best. It could easily fit with either way the book could end (either "you were never the one for me" if they break up, or "I never thought it would be you" if they end up together).

I like "Never You" because it is short and would peak my interest more than the other title.

I would also vote NEVER YOU,  in the concept of reading a row of book titles and not knowing what they are about (like when I am at the library or garage sales), that title would have prompted me to pick it up and read the jacket

Here is what had really thrown me off. My sister and friends had said they weren't really in love with the first title and liked the second title better as well. So I sent a message to the person doing a professional edit on my book to ask her opinion on changing the title. She said she liked the ambiguity of the first title and thought some people may take the second one as being too negative for a romantic comedy.
But, hopefully, the whimsical cover design will keep it looking fun and not negative.

Katika --  I know what you mean about stalling! Instead of endlessly trying to edit my own work, I wish I had sent it to an editor sooner to just get the process started. The editor made me feel better about certain aspects I was worried about (Questions like "Is my beginning really strong enough?), which is helping me to focus on what really needs my attention during this very final edit.

Hmmmm...... So maybe blend the two if you are worried? For something like "Never You..... Maybe" or something?

I'm with the consensus concerning your two suggested titles    'Never you' rolls off the tongue nicely and is easy to remember, and as yourself and others have suggested, the right cover image will support the impression you want to make in terms of the type of story it is.

I think it feels more comedic than the other title too - which, whilst more suggestive of the conflicts the characters have, is wordier and perhaps makes it feel like it will be a bit more of an arduous read. 'Never You' feels snappier and lighter
