Hypothethical G1 cartoon revisions - what would you find acceptable?

Clean up animation (I love escape from katrina style) and add more toy characters, especially anypony from before year 4

I would want better animation and some more toy characters (why TE Bright Eyes didn't appear in the show...)

I think that doing things to improve the clarity of picture and sound are fine. But outside of that, leave it be. It is what it is and was what it was. Fiddling with the actual content tells me that the person doing it would have been better served creating their own spin off / reboot / whatever. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that--I got into MLP via FiM. But the point of someone revisiting an old show is to appreciate it for what it represented for the time period it was from. Anything outside of technical clean up would destroy the authenticity of the source material.
