My little Raven ponies

This little pony family was part of a private Halloween swap with aintnobuffalo.  She allowed me the creative freedom to pick a theme for the ponies and I was inspired by the dark beauty of the raven to create these three little ones.  These are the first G4 customs I've made and I learned quite a bit from working on them; I'm so thankful to aintnobufflo for allowing me to broaden my horizons and for trusting me enough to not make these a total flop!

Lessons learned:
  • Createx airbrush colors have a serious habit of staying a little "tacky" pre-sealing.  The opaque colors have a bit of a gloss to them.  The base color seems to rub easily before sealing, so I won't be doing Createx for base coats in the future.
  • G4 ponies are TINY!  Cutie marks need a much finer hand as compared to G1/G3 ponies.  A fine tipped liner brush worked great.
  • G4 neck plugs suck.

I love them, great job! I agree about createx airbrush paints and G4 neck plugs, and the non-princess ponies being tiny, the G1/G3 babies are bigger then them.
