The pic of her MIB looks normal to me, but the one of her loose does look kind of pearlised, maybe they've done something fancy with the lighting so her hair really pops in the stock images?

Oh, gosh, I'm a little tempted, but SO many Rainbow Dash Funko Vinyls now! I am curious to know what the glitter looks like, since the images are so clearly shopped. Maybe I'll see one at Target.

I'll say that it definitely looks great in person.  I picked one up at Target last week, but apparently each Target only got 6 black Rainbow Dash's each. 

In any case, I wasn't sure about getting this variant, but once I actually held it in my hands and looked it over, it grew on me rather quickly.  Not to mention $14 isn't a bad price at all.

It figures, I noticed this post just after pre-ordering Blue Discord from Hot Topic with a higher price.

The thing I'd like to know is how the heck is Popcultcha getting figures, that are exclusives to US retailers, even before those retailers themselves.

* Metallic Toywiz exclusive POP! Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle, with Gemini collectibles exclusive metallic Rainbow Dash all about a month before Toywiz or Gemini
* POP! Dr. Hooves, DJ Pon-3, Pony all HT exclusives, but Popcultcha still got them little bit before Hot Topic
* Twilight Sparkle and Trixie couple of weeks before Hot Topic, when they were suppose to be HT exclusives
* Metallic Rainbow Dash - Hot Topic exclusive available at Popcultcha before it's even up for pre-order at Hot Topic.
* And of course the Blue Discord which is supposed to be HT exclusive, which they are going to get about the same time as Hot Topic, if the information is correct.

I thought it was 25th anniversary of Hot Topic. It can't be 25th anniversary of MLP as it's older than that, even in animated form.

Oh possibly?? Although the animated series I thought was at 25 years? I'm not sure exactly they just said it was for the 25th Anniversary.

*shrug* I don't know how they do it, but they often have SDCC exclusives available the first day of the con too. Granted it's only a sticker on a box claiming so, but that still means there's more stock available than the numbers claimed in the 'limited edition' total.

I'm just glad that we have Popcultcha down here because otherwise we'd be waiting months longer or not even get these at all.

In the case of SDCC exclusives it's easy to explain as Funko has/does this preorder thing (aimed at retailers) for their SDCC exclusives.
