I am a pretty picky collector when it comes to G3s or later generations.  G1s and G2s, I'm pretty lenient with flaws.  The only things that bother me on the older generations are chew marks/punctures, missing body parts, significant discoloration and hardened bodies.  I'm pretty tolerant of even relatively significant symbol/eye/blush flaws and cut hair doesn't bother me in the slightest (if it's bad enough that I think it's better to just rehair, that's fine, because I find reharing as strangely therapeutic :) ).

I really enjoy rehairing too! Lol

Not picky at all! The only flaw that I really have trouble with is head/body mismatch, but I'm even getting over that; once I give the pony a nice bandanna or necklace, I don't notice it anymore.

Gah I forgot about that.... Head/body mismatch drives me crazy!

Depends on how new the pony is.  Flaws are more forgivable on G1-G2 ponies.  Much less so on G3-G4.

My thoughts too :)

I am admittedly a bit on the pickier side, although it helps keep money in my wallet so it's not so bad.

That can be a good thing! XD hehe

Not picky at all. I sun fade, replace hair and fix chews. It's all good...

How do you fix chews?! I'm intrigued! :)

Between having a flawed pony and NOT having that pony, I'll take the flawed pony!  :)  I'm not all that picky.

That's how I think a lot of the time especially if it's a bit harder to find or if I need the pony NOW lol :)

No. As long as a pony has their head and all four limbs then they're welcome into my herd.

 Awww!

I am not  a picky collector. I have ponies in my collection some other collectors may scoff at. I eventually get upgrades, but I am not super picky. Especially with G1 ponies. They are old and I understand it's hard to find them without flaws.

Me too! I have an Italian lemon drop that I just can't part with but she has rubs holes dents etc  I love her though

Depends on how new the pony is.  Flaws are more forgivable on G1-G2 ponies.  Much less so on G3-G4.

This, too. G3s/G4s are (usually) much easier to get hold of than the earlier gens, I'd rather pay a little more for a perfect condition G3/G4 than I would for a G1/G2.

I think I am picky, but there are certain things that really annoy me. I really don't like eyerubs, age spots, bad cases of symbol bleeding and I wouldn't buy a pony with badly trimmed hair (e.g. very short) or with a rehair, I prefer the original hair even if it's dry or with other flaws.

^ haha!

I love reading these.

I can handle symbol rubs and minor ink spots.  With cancer, it only depends on where it is on the pony.   I actually kind of like regrind.

I really don't like frizzy hair.  That would be kind of the last straw that prevents me from buying a pony covered in ink, cancer and having the symbol rubbed off.

I think I'm less picky than many.  If I can get a pony cheap and fix it up, I'm great with that.  Head/body mismatches make me nuts though.

My wallet does not let me be picky, really. Plus I do love giving poor, beat up toys a home.

Oooh, I'm super picky, and only have mint copies so far. It's a very good thing that I'm yet to find a need for G1 or G2 ponies.

I'm strange, I really don't like getting used things... I like thinking that only I have touched it even if that clearly isn't true either way... The crazy ways in which my mind works.  :silly:

Thus I probably spent way too much for the G3 ponies I have so far... Oh well. xD
