Opinions on my custom pony's wings? What does he need?

Hello all! Just want some opinions on my current (one of them at least!) custom ponies that i'm close to finishing!
I'm pleased with how he has turned out, the lightning bolts in person are just incredible! They really shine like sparks of lightning
I'm just feeling that his wings need something... they seem a little forgotten, I'm unsure!
Perhaps bring out the lightning bolts? or something else?
Tell me what you think!
(If it helps his hair is basically clouds and I'll be using whites and grays and such in the mane)

Still some tiding up to do and such with the rest of him, but I'm stumped for the wings....

I'd try "frosting" the tips of the wing feathers with just a touch of white/light grey, just to make them stand out a little more and give them a cloudy look. Here's a shot of my dark-feathered custom to show what I mean:

That's a touch of medium grey over an almost-black iron grey, and you can see how much it draws the eye and brings the feathers out.

Wow, that's a cool custom. I think Tabbyclaw's suggestion is just what you need to give the wing feathers a bit of life and depth. Can't wait to see the finished piece.

Yup, I was going to suggest the same thing as Tabby. A little bit of grey or white on the ends of the feathers would really make them stand out. Looking great so far!

i agree on highlighting the wings in a gray, and maybe a few scattered touches of your blue glitter here and there in the middle feathers.
