Not a veteran. I was one of those hated G4 show lovers who looked down on the older generations. Emphasis on was because I love the old gens now and I like seeing MLP roots. The first time I buckled down and bought a pony felt weird. In target, Sunset Shimmer with that dumb mask was on sale. And it was between classes. I bought her then shoved her in my bag while I felt bizarre for smuggling a pony into college. Then when I got home I loved her to pieces. And then it just grew from there. Don't have any older gens but I'm not exactly a garage sale searcher, I do have some fakies and Filly Funtasia though haha. Lately my collection has spilt over to Monster High.Ponies are a gateway drug to doll collecting.
My very first pony was Baby Firefly back in the 80's. I was about 4 or 5 years old.
My first was G1 Baby Dancing Butterflies. For a quarter at a thrift store. I was 3.
So soft Heart throb. I got her when I was 3 years old.
i remember being probably three or four years old and going to either ames or hills and talking my mum into letting me put G2 petal blossom into the cart.
My first pony was a Wave 1 Twilight blind bag. I was 21.
