Are you sure it isn't Blossom? Lavender is more prone to discoloring than other body colors and I've seen Blossoms specifically for sale that have turned some pretty funky colors. Not sure if Mexican ponies are any different as far as that goes, but I personally wouldn't get my hopes up. But I do wish you the best of luck with this! I hope you get some nice ponies!
I recently found out that a Peruvian variant of Posey has purple hair. So that could be it too, I guess.Good luck!
