I am expecting to see just about every color in these squares lol. I'm hoping to find the time to dye my own fabric for borders and the rest of the quilt, so I suspect it will be pretty rainbow.

Once the squares are in, I am going to arrange them in a way that I think highlights each one best. So colors, design, and materials will all be taken into consideration.

Oh man, I wish I had some sort of artistic talent to have been able to take part in this, but as it stands I will just have to stalk this thread, because I can't wait to see the finished product! Have fun everybody!

I got most of my pieces cut out today.

One of the colors I decided against, so tomorrow I will go hunting for a better color.

I have a long weekend coming up so I plan to start doing things then. I was going to start last weekend but ended up having a really bad day that involved my car having a scrap with the garage door.... Not good.

At some point soon, I need to go buy lots of white cotton fabric. I'm planning on dying most of the fabric for this quilt by hand. That way I get all the colors I want. Plus it will look cook. Plus it will be fun. I am debating tie dying the backing when the rest is assembled, but I will have to see how it all looks. I don't want it to be overwhelming lol.

My fabric arrived today and I've preshrunk it

I've been drawing my design to scale this evening so I can draught a pattern for my appliqué.

sounds exciting!! I'll have to start going through all my fabric scraps to see if any of them are the right colour and size to cut ponies out of.
