One I also like is called  Gay Purr-ee it  it is from 1962, it is a fun little film with some catchy songs. I saw it once on TCM.

I've seen (and like) a lot of these movies, including Heart and Souls, Brother Bear and Newsies (though I lied the Broadway version better.). I also really did like What Dreams May Come and Penelope.  I'm going to add/agree to:

Hunchback of Notre Dame: one of my favorite Disney films with such a pretty score

Stardust: such a lovely film

I admit I have a soft spot for Quest for Camelot - I had a bit of a crush on Garrett (the blind hermit warrior guy).   :lovey:

The film itself bombed at the box office and is almost universally hated - but I still kinda like it.  ^.^

Yay! I liked this film, too  :)

The Shop Around the Corner (1940). People tend to think of It's a Wonderful Life as the quintessential Jimmy Stewart Holiday movie, and I'm not saying it's not a great movie, but I prefer the Shop Around the Corner. It may be my favorite movie of all time. :lovey:

The 1998 remake starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan (You've Got Mail), completely ruins the story. It was easy to dislike Tom Hanks' character from the start; in fact, I kind of hated him for the whole movie :P but I was rooting for Jimmy Stewart the entire time.

There are SO many movies that are underappreciated. From many companies, from many franchises, from many genres, and it's hard to decide which one to say above the rest.

I'm going to say Gojira, the japanese movie from 1954. It still recognized as a masterpiece, but it needs to stay that way forever, and many youngsters are loving the 2014 mediocre reboot too much.
It is the evil that lies in ourselves that is ever least tolerant of the evil that lies in others.

Raising Helen (2004)-such a good family movie

Legend (1985)-who doesn't love a good unicorn movie?

Soul Survivors (2001)-a great psychological thriller

Nemesis Game (2003)-another great thriller that many have probably never heard of

Enter Nowhere (2011)-a nice science fiction gem, starring Clint Eastwood's son, that I caught on Chiller

Tristan & Isolde (2006)-a great period romance set in the Dark Ages

Sound of My Voice (2011)-this is a really bizarre thriller about a couple infiltrating a cult

Not Another Teen Movie (2001)-a great spoof of the genre

Date With An Angel (1987)-a nice romantic comedy

I'm sure I'm forgetting some favorites so I'll probably add more later.

I'm not sure if they are under appreciated so much as not very well known (I might be wrong about that too).

The road to El Dorado and Anastasia seem to get looked over because they are not Disney
Flight of the navigator - but its from 1986 so maybe its just old
Worst witch in the world - HBO showed it every halloween back in the day.
The film follows the plot of the 1974 book. The movie centers around Mildred Hubble, who is invariably the school's "Worst Witch." Mildred creates many mishaps, including the incidents of when Mildred turns herself invisible and transforms Ethel into a pig. The climax surrounds Miss Cackle's notorious twin evil sister, Agatha, plotting to take over the Academy. Ultimately Agatha is foiled by Mildred and Mildred establishes herself as the hero for the academy.

I know a lot of these films mentioned- I too went to see Oliver and Company at the cinema when I was a child!!

A film I really like that not many others do is The Truman Show. I don't know anyone else that owns it!!

One of my favorite movies of all time: "What's Up, Doc?" from the 70s and starring Barbra Streisand. I have almost never met anyone else who has seen that movie. The only people I know who know it are people I specifically sought out on the internet.

Me!!!!!!!!!!!! I loooooooooooooove that movie! In German it is called "Is' was, Doc?". I have no idea how many times I have seen it as a kid, it's so funny!

When I think of underrated movies I always think of The Swan starring Grace Kelly. I never hear it mentioned alongside other classics from it's era but it's a beautiful bittersweet tale of love and loss. Can't recommend it enough to anyone that enjoys the classics.
