Oh my gosh- these are so cool! Saja, that one that Clones made is just amazing!!

Oh my gosh- how cool would it be to do a quilt swap?  Each participant could make a block for all the other participants and so in the end everyone would end up with enough blocks to make a quilt.  So for example if there were 12 participants, each person would make 12 blocks, one for each person, and get 12 blocks in return. Then they would sew these together to make a quilt.  Each block would have to be a standard size, to facilitate putting them all together to make a quilt.

brighteyes, that swap would be great! Given a good timeframe it would be a really lovely swap.

I think a swap like that would definitely have to have a lot of time to work, especially if there were very many participants.  But, it would make such a neat, memorable one of a kind, pony community keepsake.  I would love to be in a swap like that!

Yeah, it would definitely take more time than a regular swap or a custom swap. But it would be so cute and lovely idea.

I love that design! Will you embroider it on a block or will it be a big applique?

I'd really love for the quilt swap to happen too!  I will make a thread to gauge interest, but I think we would have to find someone to host it as I have only done custom swaps and pony swaps- never an "other swap" and I think that's what this would be. According to the rules, you have to have participated in the type of swap before you can host one, I think.

ETA: maybe this does count as a custom swap.  Hmmm... not sure.  I will find out.

There will be a black... grid? that separates the picture into smaller pictures that will then be appliqued.

I can't believe I've missed this thread! I made a quilt for the MLP Fair a couple years ago. It was my first quilt, and was definitely a learning experience.

Uninu, that looks like a lot of work -- but I bet the result will be amazing! Please share photos of your process as you go along, will you? :)

Tsukikakushi, yours is very pretty! I like the stylised silhouette look, and the cloudy sky contrasts nicely with Firefly's colours.  :good:

Yeah, with all my other sewing projects it will take months to complete that design. XD I do plan on making a wip-thread for it once I get the fabrics home and start working, but that will be after my trip to France in October.

Oh and tsukikakushi, that is sooooo pretty!
