Yay! This did not disappoint. I've been such a huge fan of Sailor Moon ever since I was a kid. When they were talking about doing a reboot, I was so skeptical at first, but this was perfect! It was so well done, I can't wait for more!!

I love the new music when she transforms. I've always the first music they used in the old series when she first transformed.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if this series will only cover the Dark Kingdom arc? I only ask because the rebooted manga covered all the arcs in only 12 volumes.

The new art style is going to take some getting use to for me. But I'm really, really pleased with how it turned out. I loved how Usagi's wail can shatter glass.

Crunchyroll totally worked for me, so happy! I got all nostalgic when I was watching it, brought back so many memories for me. It did take a bit of getting used to the art style, so sophisticated compared to the original, (but I  guess that's what a reboot is all about)!
I did find at times that I had the old English dub voices running through my head at certain parts... Old habits (or in this case, voices) die hard I guess

I missed the original 'boom' of SM in the states, because I wasn't girly enough. However, I watched all of the original show in the last few years and was looking forward to the reboot.

I like that it is closer to the manga, with less filler/bubbles and the art style. I like that they kept the transformation close to the original.

I hate that there is CG is in the transformation scene. Not just regular all-out CG which would've been fine, but no, a horrible cheap looking CG/art mashup style. I also dislike the "gloss" that new anime have, which this suffers from.

However, after seeing the preview for episode 2, it looks like the quality is a little better. None of this will stop me from watching the show at all, but they are legitimate complaints.

I still personally love the art from the original series best, although I don't hate the art from this.

My friends and I had the *exact* same complaint about Usagi's transformations sequence!  While it was close to the original, we didn't like the CG mashup style looked.

I also agree that the quality of animation is better, and am looking forward to the next episode

Slyons, I got nostalgic too! I was also really happy that Kotono Mitsuishi was the voice for Usagi again ^^

My friends and I got a HUGE kick out of that!  I then said her cry even trumps Rarity's (and we all know how good of a crier she is haha) to which my friends laughed further and agreed.  I then said "I wish I could do that!" more laughter ^^

I was never a huge Sailor Moon fan, but I did enjoy it when I was a kid, so I was excited for a reboot It's refreshing to see 90s looking anime in 2014 (character designs and not insanely short skirts ). It looks really good, but, as others have already mentioned, I dislike 3DCG in transformation scene because it's so obvious. Some people really dislike the song and say it's generic, but I think it's just fine. Well, no matter how good the reboot is, some people will always complain just because of nostalgia
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the new episodes

I went into it expecting updated animation. A lot has changed from the 90s to now and I think things have to be presented differently for this generation to accept it. I don't think its any better than the first one mind you, but its good and that rarely happens with a reboot

The music is awsome and i like theyre lighter hair colors better.

Im not crazy about the transformation, but i can live with it.


Have you seen the Moon Pride MV? It has unseen anime moments. I love the song.

I really liked it.  I would say the art is closer to the style from the manga.

It is closer to the manga especially the attention to detail with their clothing/uniforms, though the manga is still a bit different.  I do love the attention to detail they give!

Hilamb, I can't wait until ep. 3 as well!  I actually really like how Ami looked (Usagi still looks odd to me.)  Can't wait to see Rei!
