Seller sent wrong item, and it looks like my item is being resold?

I bought something from a seller on eBay, and they sent me the wrong item. When I won it, there was a fuss about posting it, but it eventually got posted on Monday. It arrived today (Saturday), so it looks like it wasn't posted Monday at all. I look at their profile after sending them a message asking why they sent me the wrong item and I see my item up for sale, being sold at a higher price. I've told them that if I don't receive my item I will be in contact with eBay. Is there anything else I should do?

Contac ebay now. Open a case now and get it rolling. I would not wait if they are being fraudulent.

I am with elish, file a claim now. If they gave you grief to begin with, chances are they will continue to do so.

Yup, I checked last night and the listing had ended! He said he's sent it out today, so I'm hoping he has actually sent it!

Okay, so my replacement still isn't here, and I don't think he sent it in the first place.

Scratch that! He just sent a message saying this "You'll get the item you paid for once I've got the yellow one."
I sent mine back last Monday. It still hasn't arrived and I don't know why. He's sent me a message saying he's going to report me for harassment??? Then he messages me saying this "I've check all of ebays policy's. Until it's returned I don't need to send it."

What should I do...? The item cost £34, I can't afford to just loose £34

Are you saying the item you sent back still hasn't arrived?? Did it have tracking??

And also have you opened up a case yet?? I would go ahead and do that if you haven't just for the simple fact that he is being so hostile. You shouldn't have to deal with that.

I just opened a case now. It didn't have tracking because he was in the UK too, I've never had a parcel got lost in the UK... I'm wondering if he did get it and is just lying...

Did you get proof of postage? If you did there's no way you can be blamed for it not arriving x

I couldn't get proof of postage because I plopped it through the post box since it was only a small item.

Oh, well it might be a bit hard to prove that you sent it then. Sellers often claim they never received the item  I wish you luck anyway x

Hopefully :/ I have proof that he has lied to me on several occasions about sending the item, will that be of any use?
