What was the last G1 pony that you bought new in the store?

In pretty sure my last pony to buy was either baby pineapple or a fancy mermaid baby. I remember going to this discount store here in Florida called "pharmore" and they had some ponies.. Oddly enough, some were in French Canadian packaging, which I still have.. And I have the Canadian MO pamphlets that came with them as well

I think I actually found a baby splashes fancy pants at a rite aid way after ponies were discontinued. So this is the last one I got for sure.

Ooh, how odd. I wonder how CDN ponies ended up down in Florida. Maybe they were trying to escape the winter.

My last was Pretty Vision. Not sure when I got her, but I know it was well after she first appeared in stores because I also had some ponies that appeared the year after her.

Ironically for me my first and last purchase of a new G1 pony was in 2009.We were travelling through Spain to start our new life in Valencia when we stopped for petrol.I saw nothing but my then 8 year old said she saw G1 ponies at the checkout....and indeed there were 2 Rockin beat ponies...sweet notes....in spanish Los rockeros, notas dulces.They were 5 euros each.Elated I bought them both.I sold one and kept one which I still have.

We were fresh off the boat so to speak and very tired so I wasnt thinking properly but I so wish I had asked if they had any more.I will never know.

To think those ponies had been hanging around in that store for so many years just waiting for me to buy them.That pony is treasured by us and I have never taken it out of its packaging.

My last new G1 was either Dazzleglow or Sweet Sundrop. I very distinctly remember each of them being my favorite after I had just gotten it, but I don't remember which came first or last.

I think the last new G1 *anything* I got was the gummy candies they had in the early-mid 90s, and I only remember that because I still have pieces of the box around.

I think my last G1s that I bought (or my mom bought for me) new in the store were either the Paradise Babies or the Fancy Mermaid Ponies at Wal-Mart.  I wasn't too keen on most of the ponies released at that time, but I desperately wanted new ponies and had to have them.  I also remember finding some "older" at that time stock in a pharmacy (maybe CVS?) and got Windy Wing Whirly; she might have actually been the last G1 that I purchased new in the store.

Oooh this is a fun thread.  My last G1 ponies were actually a whole bunch at once.  Growing up I was heavily involved in 4-H and every year I would wait for my check to come in the mail after the fair with the money I'd earn and I'd spend the whole thing on ponies.  The last ones I bought new in store were:

and those took all of my money but I was in pony heaven for months after.

I believe the last pony I got in stores was baby Dots and Hearts (diaper baby). I was in the basement of  a discount store, I believe Woolworth's (this store was defunct in the United States by the late 90s) was the store. They had some ponies left over in about 1990/91 and I remember staring at all the different Fancy Pants Babies...... I wanted to have them all but I could only pick one, so I remember picking DOts and Hearts because she had WINGS! I didn't have any ponys with wings so I was so excited.

Technically the last MIP G1 I got new was Baby Stockings, from the Rice Crispy mail order promotion. I received two ponies from that promotion. So she was officially the last "New" G1 I bought.

My last new G1 was the Dream Beauty Mayfair. I wish i still had her.

Mine was actually a birthday present from my grandad, it was the birthday pony! Celebrating 10 years of mlp! Still have her, though her tinsel curls are almost straight now and I've lost all her accessories, she is still pretty white and not a scratch on her. Xxx

Good question! Mine must have been Teeny Pony Twins Rattles and Tattles. I still have one of them.

The last pony I bought for myself was Speedy, but my last childhood pony was Locket. She was a 13th birthday present from Gran back in 1988.

I must admit I've never bought a G1 pony new in package. My first ponies were all second-hand. But I love them all anyway!!!

Mine was Dutch baby Cat and my sister's was Dutch Diary. We both got to pick one pony and my sister got the last adult. At first I was sad about that, until I saw baby Cat, Such an adorable little pony.

I still have both in my collection.
