Oh gosh I'm sorry I didn't realize you need to know for a project! I'm over here just babbling about how all of them are cool.
I don't know how far you're taking fantasy but I have tons of monster / creatures.
Here's some more I found in my books:
Remorhaz: A centipede-like insect thats about 20 feet long, lives in frozen wastelands underground. Found him in a monster book, he has DnD origins.
Chimera: You know this one, the dragon/goat/lion hybrid. Sometimes the dragon is a snake. The creatures design always differs it seems, and I've seen many versions.
Manticore: Similar to a sphynx, it has a lion body and a human face. Sometimes they have wings or horns. Their tails are snakes or dragons and sometimes they're just covered in poisonous spikes.
Gargoyle: The stone statues that come to life! Most of the time they have wings, many different depictions. (I have one in my room
)
Yuan-ti: Another DnD creature. I actually never knew a lot of these were DnD creatures? They're human/snake creatures with impressive psychic abilities.
Werewolf: The classic man into beast. There are many versions.
Rakshasa: Luxurious and wealthy shape-shifting tigers. They can read minds and they're thumbs are on the exterior of their hands rather than the interior. They're immortal.
Nightmare: DnD creature, it is a black horse with a mane and tail and fetlocks of fire. It also snorts fire from it's nostrils.
Jabberwock: The creature from Alice in Wonderland.
Cerberus: The three-headed dog who guards Hades.
Sleipnir: An eight legged horse from Norse mythology. Given to Odin by Loki.
Chupracabra: Blood sucking monster from the south! I used to hunt for them, never found one lol.
Leviathan: Giant sea monster, mentioned as far back as the days from the bible.
Basilisk: Chicken head, serpent body. One look will turn you to stone!
Minotaur: From greek mythology. Human body, head of a bull. Guarded King Minos maze.
Thunderbird: Giant two headed bird. Big enough to take and slaughter whales form the ocean. He comes from Native American lore.
Jersey Devil: Donkey/Dog/Goat/Dragon creature from New Jersey. Kills animals and small children.
Loch Ness Monster: Good old nessie, lives in Scotland.
