As the crow flies I'm roughly 4,000 miles from my birthplace in Kings Lynn, England.

I live about maybe 2000 or 3000 miles away from my birthplace in Inglewood California. I now live in Alberta Canada. I think at first it was a huge adjustment. I couldnt really live in california since im used to climate out here now. I do miss where I used to live as a teenager since I lived in the Mojave Desert but Alberta Canada is my home with my family now.

I was born in Los Gatos, CA, and I grew up and currently live in Cupertino.  So that's a little over 8 miles.

From San Leandro, California to the hospital I was born at in Baltimore, MD it's 2,822 miles.

As happy as I am out here, sometimes I miss Maryland terribly.

1869, says Google Maps I was born in Malaga, Spain and live near Belfast in Northern Ireland.

I researched my family tree...

for 500 years they didn't move from the same 40km/25 miles....
They accomplished this to marry inside the family.. no incest... it was common that when your spouse died, you married his or her brother or sister...

Still... sometimes I feel really boring.. I don't have an exciting family history!
They were poor farmers or drunk hobo's for 500 years long... and the 'new kids' also don't go outside out of that 40 kms/25 miles.. Including me.

Last month I was with a group of people and you had to draw your family migration on a world map... It was so sad that I was the only one who was done with a dot on the map :')

I grew up in Tasmania.  I love it there too   I always have sort of plans to move back, but doubt it will happen.  It's a bit isolated.
