Best gaming convention ever! I just got done putting events in my wishlist. Actual registration isn't for four days. Some of my selections include:

How to run an evil campaign
Design and draw your own trading card
Firefly drinking songs
Star Wars Miniatures custom workshop
and
Pole Dancing for Fun and Fitness

My fiancé and I are going (we've been going for a number of years, and Gencon has become the con that I judge all others by ) I was browsing the events but haven't settled on what all I want to do yet. I do know that we will be doing a few of the True Dungeon runs (we finally gave it a try last year and are HOOKED! lol)

ThatGuyKenai and I go every year. I'm soooooo excited that Pokemon TCG is coming back!!!!! I'm also looking forward to playing some Pokemon and MLP RPGs. The MLP one I played last year was so much fun!

Oh, and if the MLP design a pony class comes back this year... don't waste your money. You can learn better customizing skills here for free.

Me ! For the first time ! For right now I think I'm mostly just adding the game library to my wishlist. As it's my first year I think we're just going to learn and take it easy this time.

sailorstitch - we talked about that MLP RPG via PM, I believe. Do you know if it's coming back ? I keep looking for it in the event catalog but all I can find is CCG events, knit a purse, paint a pony, and some fan music concert thing. I was also hoping for an MLP seminar like they had last year..

Good luck on registration, everybody ! Does anyone know the best days to try and hit the vendor hall.. if there is one ? (meaning less chaotic and crowded)

Sarah Jo - In my experience Thursday and Friday are the two 'less chaotic' days in terms of people. It is ALWAYS packed, but it always seems like more people show up on Saturday. I hope you have a great time! My first year going I was completely over whelmed, but in a good way. I just wanted to do everything! lol

Event registration opens in just under and hour. Anyone else excited?

That's the days I was thinking of about the vendor hall, thanks for confirming ! I can be easily overwhelmed, so that was a factor in keeping the wishlist light. Though these items did creep on..

Didn't get into the mini painting thing I wanted, unfortunately, but got everything else. So for right now I'm looking at 3 days of the game library, Killer Breakfast, and testing out the new expansion for the Firefly board game.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get in to the mini-figure painting, but keep an eye on the event page! Sometimes things pop up between now and con time

My fiancé and I got in to most of the events that we were after. We've got four True Dungeon runs (our new favorite thing to do while at gencon lol), we got in to the Q & A with author Jim Butcher, we'll be watching The Gamers Live, and I am taking a wire ear cuff creation and earthenware dragon painting workshop.
