Pretty sure at least Lugia and Ho-Oh received a ton of merchandise during HGSS, not so sure what was released during FRLG!
Really excited for the remakes, been playing Pokémon Sapphire the last few days and I just really can't wait to see everything in 3D. ♥

Weeeeeeelll..... it depends on if you like ground or water types better, for starters.... I suggest looking at the exclusive pokemon from each game, that can help!

Personally had sapphire growing up. Got ruby recently and would still wholeheartedly recommend sapphire. It just has an edge that Ruby doesn't. X

I'm really curious if the version exclusives will be the same in the remakes as they were in the originals?

If I get a 3DS or 2DS, I'm planning on Sapphire because I like the version mascot.

I was always a big Groudon fan but growing up I only ever had Sapphire. It will be great to finally own a Ruby version and be able to catch my favorite of the two!
Also, am I the only one who Is thinking perhaps Sableye will recieve a Mega evolution? Since Mawile got one.

I'm crossing my fingers for a Mightyena mega evolution. That was my favorite 3rd gen Pokemon because I just like puppy pokemon.

I'm erring on the side of Sapphire unless I like Ruby's exclusives better. I usually pick based on legendary.
