It didn't, that was misquoted.  It just said there would be "figures," meaning more than one.

Man.... I really just want Spike.  But if you think about it... the set is 50$ then it's like paying 25$ just for him.  I can't justify that.  I'd rather spend the money hunting down a princess dragon.

Good point! But as far as I know, everyone has said the Fair and the SDCC are the same thing....

Well just to be clear, I am a G1 collector and I do NOT love the Mane-iac. I found the whole episode to be trite and over-cliche. Although the Exclusive figures do look ...interesting... I will pass this time.

oh great I hope the doll doesn't do better than the pony so hasbro won't be like oh let's just stick to a doll next year...

Good point you bring up.  I do like the doll so much better and I just may buy her, but I will not buy the pony.  Sadly, I don't want Hasbro to think the dolls would sell better.  It is just that THIS doll is the better product.

I actually do like this pony, BUT I'd really like a set of Mane 6 Power Ponies to display with it, otherwise I think she's going to look a little weird by herself on my shelves since she doesn't really fit in with anything.

I know what you mean. It makes me sad that for an MLP SDCC exclusive, the human doll looks better than the pony. If Maneiac was a brushable FS or G4Zilla sized, it would have been better.

Going by some reactions on EqD so far, there is more love for the pony than the doll, bot not happy about the $50 price tag.

My point exactly.. What's strange is they chose this pony she isn't very popular a Discord would have done much better, or an accurate Chrysalis which I hope Funko makes... Anyways looking forward to seeing the Funko ponies hope it's today!

I am *so* glad I didn't shell out the money to pre-order this for the Fair.  For those that hate it, DO list it on eBay.  I hated last year's "exclusive" too and sold it to someone from Finland on eBay for $150!

I too miss the days when we would get a "pretty" exclusive just for the Fair.

Also the photo for the pony is incredibly shoddy. It really looks like it was taken at the last minute. :/
