Where to buy replacement jewels?
« on: May 02, 2014, 11:09:07 AM »
I have a few G2s that are missing their eye jewels and I would like to get some replacement ones, but I don't know where. I also wonder what kind of glue I should use.
G1, G2 and G3 collector. I also collect a bunch of other stuff. (Too much..)

Fire Mountain Gems and Artbeads.. artbeads has flat backs

however, if you have a hobbylobby or a craft shop around, they my be carrying gems that are about the right size for G2 eyes...

The packs I found have about 300 gems and in various sizes, the pack I bought was blues/greens/purples.. but packs come also in red/orange/yellow, clear, pink.. the smallest and second smallest sizes work and I even have a G2 modeling those but they are not glued in

however, an online shop might be best... though if I ever by the other colors I might sell the extras

sd_dreamcrystal: They seem to fit perfectly! Where did you buy them? I can't find them on any of the sites.

There was an informative thread not too long ago here discussing size and colors: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,348809.0.html

I got  3 colors of gems  from an ebay seller last year
they were 72 pieces in baggies and they were only like 2 or 3 dllrs for each
I have looked at Michael's and they were super expensive there

the bags  have this info

swarovsky crystal 1100  PP18   and 1028   PP18

seller info    [email protected]

The Glue I have been using is  from the Dollar Tree store : Craft Glue   all purpose  quick drying

The ones from Michael's don't actually fit well and I think I bought their smallest there.

I will second what was mentioned in the thread linked - artbeads is great and the gems I have always found are perfect in size and colour :)
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
