Yellow vs Blonde Venezuelan hair: More Pictures!
« on: April 28, 2014, 12:54:31 PM »
Hi ponies,

I have a question I hope you can help me clear up :)

I've noticed that there is blonde vs yellow hair. I have three Venezuelan Starshine and they all have the same dark yellow hair (it's a match for mango tango)

Can anyone show me a comparison of the blonde vs yellow hair? :)

Thank you :)

It is over a month later and I have finally taken some detailed pictures of my three Starshine's tails all next to each other for comparison :)

I would say the colour looks almost identical on each pony, the hair colour is ever so slightly darker on the white Starshine with the blue symbol. However IMHO I don't think it is enough of a difference to warrant her being a different variation.

Comparing the tails of all three against the same white background, i'd say the second one is more blonde than the other two, but when i think of blonde i think blonde like Macau Jenny can sometimes be found in...so much, much paler and also less vivid. TBH if i were to put them on a scale i'd say none of those is blonde, but i don't know what Venie blonde is supposed to look like.
*how many times can I say "blonde" in one post?*

I sometimes think that lighter yellow looks like a faded mango tango shade. All the other Vennies with yellow hair have the mango tango colour you have here don't they? Is it not only a couple of Starshines who have been found with the lighter colour?

Oh in that last picture you actually really can see the difference. So do you think it is just a batch difference after all with the colour?

I am wondering if it is a batch difference, or even ageing rather than variant. It's hard to tell since we still don't know that much about the Venezuelan ponies

Thank you for taking a look cat
