Here's a seller photo from Aliexpress:

She's coming nude but I really hope she's as shown because I fell HARD for her faceup! I decided to take a chance because Aliexpress has buyer protection in case the item is not as shown, and she was on sale for something like 15$ off?

She is very cute, hope she is like in the photo :).

I got my Marrakech Melange today :D. Her hair has such a deep teal colour that doesn't show so well in this photo. She will be so awesome when customised, as she is so beautiful now.

I can't wait to see what you do with her!

I think if I eventually want to change up my girl I will save up and sent her to you, buzzingbumblebee. Your work is everything I love about custom blythes :)

I have a few to work on before I get to her, but I will show her off when she is done ;).

Thank you, that is so nice to hear :D

I got Regina today :D. And I didn't get a customs fee. She has gorgeous silky skin. Good thing she has a scratch on her nose or she would be difficult to customise. I don't think many of them get customised as they are so gorgeous already ;).

Gorgeous! Is that the translucent plastic/skin? It's lovely.

I'd love to try my hands at customizing a blythe someday, I think. Maybe when my money situation is a bit better I'll pick up another factory girl to try.

I couldn't customize Regina. Especially being a limited. Plus she's so pretty just as is!

Yes she is translucent, it's so lovely. I don't have any other translucent girls, except I would say my Strawberry n' creamy cute is a bit translucent :).

And customising is fun so have a go if you think you will like it Skitterbug :).

I might feel a bit bad for customising her, but that scratch and a couple of small black spots on her face make it ok for me. Plus I don't have her stock. And all the translucent girls are limited, so the only other option would be a fake, and I don't want any more of those. I don't think I would ruin her if I did her myself of course, but I really want to have her customised by a famous customiser. I want to reserve my limited girls for that ;). And I have heard that the matte treatment they gave her make her harder to customise. For now, until I can hopefully get what I want for her I will just gaze correct and change 2 pairs of eyechips. I don't like foils behind eyechips on Blythes, and two of hers have that.

I've done facups on BJD before so I'm relatively confident I can produce a cute blythe doll.... I'd like to try carving someday, too!

My girl has shipped out! Now the real waiting begins. I bet her clothes will get here before she does :P I spent a little more than I planned to on clothes but they seem to be official blythe stuff. Western Romantic? Romantic Western? It's purple and that's what matters, haha.

That translucent skin is GORGEOUS...I need one of those girls.  I only have one Blythe at the moment-I've discovered I'm very picky with them, lol.  But I'd definitely cave for a beauty like that.

Thank you . She really is worth getting :D. Or one of the other translucents, but this matte face looks way better than the shiny translucent girls.

I swapped two pairs of eyechips to remove those foiled eyechips and gaze corrected her yesterday. I even managed to open her without too much trouble. RBL+ can be a bit strong on the glue between faceplates and scalp so I soaked her first with a good result :).
I just had to do this as I want to save her for customising by some famous customiser. We shall see who I can get, but I wanted to just do this so I can enjoy her more while I wait. She might not keep the red pair when she has been customised, but I like them with her current look :).

This may be a dumb question to people knowledgeable about Blythe dolls (which I'm not, I know very little that isn't directly related to my two girls) but what are the translucent dolls and how do they differ from nontranslucent?  ^.^

Oh, oh, I can answer this one! The translucent doll's faceplate are made of... well, translucent plastic - it lets a little light through so it looks a bit more 'real'. If you compare Regina to the Marrakech Melange that's posted, you'll see Regina has a 'softer' skin tone, in part because she's matte, and in part because she's translucent.

(feel free to correct me if I've gotten something wrong)

edit: and I'm already planning my second blythe, please send help. I really want a custom girl and I ordered eyechips for her already eep
