These two links will help with the size and head molds :)

As for bodies, official Blythe dolls only come on one body, though people often replace the body with ones from Licca dolls (which have bendy arms and legs with wires in them) or Pure Neemo Flection bodies, which have joints.

Thank you very much for the explanation on the translucent dolls! Looking at the two I can really see a difference in the skin. Are translucent dolls harder to come by?

I'm pretty sure that all the translucent dolls released have been anniversary editions, so they're harder to come by and more expensive - it's a shame, they should use the translucent plastic more!

The translucent dolls are all limited/exclusive dolls so they are more expensive. It's quite possible to find them for sale but the price might not always be so agreeable ;).

I finally found out today that vainilladolly doesn't take commissions (I'm glad to at least know now), so my only chance is to find one second hand or buy one of the nomads she sells in future on ebay or etsy. Trouble is the new ones are so expensive *cry*. I hope I will find one.

I got my new NixiPixi and Dollywardrobe collab outfit yesterday :D . It's so pretty. But my ghost doesn't look very scary in her bunny hat ;).

I entered the lottery, I figured it will be nice to get her stock at least and I will see what else I will do with her. Not that I think I will win anyway though ;).

I got the Pow Wow Poncho I traded for :D. Her hair is so stunning. And I like this mold as well, really I think I like them all. She has been sandmatted so her faceup is damaged but that doesn't matter to me.

I have a Mandy Cotton Candy on the way. She's missing her boots, but has the rest of her stock and extra clothes. I couldn't pass her up, she was such a good deal. I need to find her boots or maybe Wendy Weekender's boots. Hmm…

Lol, at the new name ;).

I was contacted by someone who has 3 vainilladollys and offering them all as I posted a wanted thread for one. But I don't think any of them is right for me, blah.. The one I like best has a pink alpaca reroot as well and she said she paid 3000 Euros for her but will offer her for 2500. I don't doubt that she paid that, and that others may be willing to pay that, but I don't want to pay lots extra just because she has a reroot when I can do one myself fairly cheaply.. And it's a girl from 2012 so I don't like the carving as much as the newer ones. If I'm going to pay loads I feel it needs to be "the one" ;). I'm just annoyed that people really charge so much money for the older ones as well.. I would rather wait to be lucky and get one of the new girls she makes then.

(PS: I'm sorry I keep whining about the big vainilla grail issues :P)

Holy crap that's a lot of money. Especially if you're not completely happy with her.

Yeah, definitely wait for the one, especially if you're going to spend that much on her! Compared to that, my grail is really modest.

I really do hope you're able to find that one perfect doll. I know how it feels getting your hands on that one amazing thing you've always wanted but never thought you could have... I hope you get to feel that someday too :)

Indeed a lot, and here I thought the earlier girls were supposed to be cheaper :P.

I will definetly not settle for any less than a girl I'm in love with ;). I know she will definetly be expensive, but I plan to sell some more of my BJD's to make up for it. I think I have too many of those now anyway, I don't have the room for them all :P. Culling tomorrow ;).

I should not complain too much, I am getting the G.Baby custom I wanted for a long time, and as it's a commission I get to choose how she will be ;). Still waiting, sigh.. It's been a few weeks, but I know I will get her in a not too distant future ^_^.
