Haha I know exactly how you feel!! Mine always stabs me on the corner of my pointer finger on my cuticle, makes my finger all flakey by the time im done! *ouchies*

I often stab myself with needles when i'm rehairing...I might be making an easter pony for my goddaughter but haven't done any rehairing since before Christmas. Might just buy and easter egg in case it becomes a disaster.

Ouch.  I had to use a tagging gun at the Salvation Army and got jabbed a few times.  I don't know how that matches to your rehairing tool but it hurt.  I suggest wrapping your finger tips in bandage tape to prevent that.

I'm fine, thanks.     I stabbed it into the meaty part of my hand.  It was such a weird sensations, I've never done anything like that before!

Lol-  I feel your pain too!  I was just experimenting with felting this weekend (stabbing wool with a tripod of needles)-  my eyes flicked to the TV for just a SECOND and BLAMO!  I jabbed myself.  Damn!

I use gauze and wrap it around my finger and then wrap it with packing tape. No pokes!

Do you now have a plug of pony hair in your hand? Tehe... I used to work at a sewing factory and would jab myself with the large pins on occasion. The most painful place to be cut/poked in the hand is under a fingernail Eeehh!! it will ache for like 3 days and then it's more painful if you touch/use that finger what so ever, which is impossible not to do. The worse time I had done that the thing went under pretty far in the middle of my thumb nail and I have a scar there that still hurts sometimes and makes my nail grow weird there. My nail breaks at that spot and the scar made a line all the way to the white part at the top if the nail D:
