Would be easier to make recommendations if we knew what you like.  ;)

Anyways, the only games I have so far for the 3DS are the Mario RPGs, Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, which I've enjoyed.  However, compared to other Paper Mario games, the story in Sticker Star is pretty lacking, so I would recommend Dream Team over it.

I'll throw in a recommendation for Animal Crossing: New Life as well. However, it has taken up a lot of my DS gaming time, LOL.

I agree with your assessment of Sticker Star, sparkykandy. Love Paper Mario games, but this one does feel a bit lacking.

One of the reg DS games I kept after I traded in my old system is My Japanese Coach. Someone else mentioned the language learning games further up, and if you're into learning foreign languages and can find any from that series at a decent price, would recommend as well.

Oh, and if you have others to play with, I would suggest Mario Party: Island Tour. I got it out of nostalgia (we played Mario Party & Kart all the time on my floor in college), and while it is fun, you'd definitely get the most out of it playing with other people.

How is the new Disney game?

I would like to know, too, if anyone's already gotten it!

Bravely Default, Animal Crossing New Leaf, Super Mario Brothers 2.  Just go to the store and look through them and see what sparks your interests.  :)

Like many others, I highly suggest Animal Crossing. I even got my mom, who is 62, into playing it and she is madly addicted.

Also, Harvest Moon: A New Beginning and Style Savvy: Trendsetters are both fabulous!

To those curious about the Disney game, I just got my copy (and I have a copy coming in the mail for my mom). I'll let you all know what we think about it once we get playing this weekend. Though my mom's copy may not come until next week. I think it'll be hard to divert her attention from Animal Crossing to something new right now anyways. :P

Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

I cannot recommend this highly enough!  One of my favourite Zelda games.

Ocarina of Time 3D is an amazing and timeless classic. If you can access the eshop I'd also recommend Link's Awakening if you enjoy OoT.
Animal Crossing is very addictive and cute. I also enjoyed Star Fox.

For DS games, Pokemon HG/SS are the pinnacle of sprite based Pokemon if you ask me. Incredible. I would also highly recommend Chrono Trigger and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky (I had darkness)

Just wanted to let you all know that Disney Magical World is quite a fun game. It reminds me a bit of a Disney-fied version of Rune Factory. I haven't had a lot of time to play (maybe two hours) but I'm really enjoying it so far and I think it's gonna be a winner.
